12 talented runners have been confirmed in the final field for Saturday’s featured Group 3 Spring Stakes (1200m) at Morphettville Racecourse; offering punters great value from a betting perspective and several key opportunities to place a winning wager.
Riziz remains outright $4.80 favourite in 2015 Spring Stakes betting markets with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au ahead of Richie’s Vibe and Daytona Grey; currently sharing the second line at a quote of $6 each.
Will Riziz justify favouritism and win the 2015 Spring Stakes or will one of his talented rivals find the line in the clear?
Go Indy Go ($7)
Group 1 winner Go Indy Go has been allocated the central barrier 7, flies fresh and is more than worth consideration for a 2015 Spring Stakes bet at current $7 odds for success. Stamping her claims as one to watch from her maiden preparation during the 2014 Autumn Carnival, the Bernardini mare finished second in each of the Listed Cinderella Stakes (1050m) and Group 3 Breeders’ Stakes (1200m) before taking out the Group 3 SA Sires’ Produce Stakes (1400m) and Group 1 Champagne Stakes (1600m) in succession. Having not been seen at the races since placing seventh in the Group 1 Crown Oaks (2500m) in November, the mare is reportedly in great condition ahead of the Spring Stakes.
Richie’s Vibe ($6)
A proven performer over course and distance, Richie’s Vibe could very well receive the run of the Spring Stakes from barrier 3 and has been confirmed to be partnered by leading hoop Dom Tourneur. Claiming five wins and two minors through seventeen career starts, the Danerich gelding returned this year for fifth in the Darley Handicap (1000m) on January 31st; progressing to a credible fifth in the Group 2 Rubiton Stakes (1100m) before again finishing fifth in the Listed Matrice Stakes (1200m) last time out on March 9th.
A strong and consistent performer for Phillip Stokes and Morphettville local, Dylanson has found typically slick form this time and offers exceptional value for money at current $10 odds for success or $3.10 to finish in the first three. Performing well in a mix of minor sprints upon resuming this time, the Dylan Thomas gelding ran third in the Listed Birthday Cup (2032m) before taking out the Listed CS Hayes Memorial Cup (1600m) on March 9th. Having finished third in the Listed Golden Mile (1600m), won the Listed City Of Adelaide Stakes (1400m) and finished fourth in the Group 3 RA Lee Stakes (1600m) in his three most recent appearances, Dylanson will have benefitted from a brief freshen-up.
